The government has notified a uniform code for marketing practices for the medical device industry in order to curb unethical practices. In a notification, Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) has asked the medical devices association to prohibit organising workshops abroad for healthcare professionals, offering them hotel stays or monetary grants. "All associations should constitute an ethics committee for marketing practices in medical devices (ECMPMD), upload it on their websites along with a detailed procedure of complaints, which will be linked to the UCPMP portal of Department of Pharmaceuticals," the notification said. Vistara on Saturday said it is dispatching an alternative aircraft along with a fresh set of crew to fly the passengers of its Mumbai-Frankfurt flight to their destination after it was diverted to Erzurum Airport in Turkey due to an alleged bomb threat on Friday. The substitute aircraft is expected to arrive at the Turkish airport by 12.25 (local time) and depart for Frankfurt with all passengers by 14.30 hours (Local time), Vistara said in an updated statement of X (formerly Twitter). The flight UK 27, operating on Mumbai-Frankfurt route, departed from Mumbai at 1.01 pm on Friday after a delay of an hour and was scheduled to arrive in Frankfurt (Germany) at 5.30 pm (local time). The Dreamliner 787-9 aircraft was, however, diverted to Turkey after the airline's crew on-board found a paper note stating that there was a bomb on the aircraft, Vistara sources had said. In its circular, Sebi said, the LODR (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) rules mandate entities with listed non-convertible securities to report the status of their payment obligations (payment of interest or dividend or repayment or redemption of principal) within one working day of its payment becoming due. Earlier, the rule required issuers of listed commercial papers to submit a certificate confirming the fulfilment of their payment obligations within two days of payment becoming due. Banks are mulling to hire graduates under 25 years of age as apprentices in a month, a top industry official said on Friday. Lenders will be paying a stipend of Rs 5,000 a month to such candidates who will get trained on a specialized skill set during the stint, industry lobby grouping Indian Banks Association's chief executive Sunil Mehta told PTI. The move follows a budget announcement by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, under which the government is targeting to provide internships at top-500 companies for up to 1 crore youth over the next five years. Explaining the banks' role in implementing the scheme, Mehta said, "There are a lot of areas where we don't need any skilled manpower for example marketing, recoveries. We can give them training in those areas and they can create employment for themselves." Vistara flight UK 27, operating from Mumbai to Frankfurt, on Friday has been diverted to Turkey due to security concerns, the airline has said. The security alert (bomb threat) was noted by the Vistara crew onboard, the airline said in a statement. The aircraft has safely landed at the Erzurum Airport, and as per the protocol, the relevant authorities were immediately alerted, and Vistara is fully cooperating with the security agencies to complete the mandatory security checks, it added. However, other details like the number of passengers and crew on board were not immediately known.
